PAPER TYPES

Luster surface is great for traditional printing and produces vivid color and excellent flesh tones. This paper is a traditional favorite for wedding, portrait and commercial photographers.

Metallic has a glossy finish and metallic appearance that creates images with exceptional visual interest and depth. Great for scenics, automotive or architectural photography where a high-contrast, metallic appearance is desirable.

Deep Matte - Pro Photographers love Deep Matte for its non-reflective surface and velvety soft feel.

PRINT ON METAL

Metal Prints are made by infusing the image into specially coated aluminum. This results in photo prints so vivid and life-like, they appear to be lit from within. Metal Prints are versatile and can be used for portraits, fine art and landscape photography. We use .045" thick, recycled aluminum sheets from ChomaLuxe to produce our high definition, vibrant prints that are eco-friendly, too.

Mounts

MOUNTS

Artboard Dry Mount (Paper Print) - A rigid backing for mounting inside a frame. This fiber-based board could warp if left unframed on sizes above 8" x 10". Artboard is available in all sizes 5" x 7" and larger.

3/4” Standout Mount (Paper Print) - Foamboard with Edging (Black) The Inset Frame is recessed from the edges of the print, so the print appears to float away from the wall. The 3/4" Deep Inset Frame is Silver only with French Cleat.

Float Mount Hangers (Metal Print) - attached to the back of the print, and float the print 1/2" off the wall when hung. Styles and selection vary based on the size of the print ordered.

Stainless Steel Posts (Metal Print) come in a set of four pieces, one for each corner. Available for print sizes 8x10 and larger. Small (5/8”) and Large (1”) on the 24x36.

What in the world?

Earthquake rods are long pieces of iron several inches in diameter that are inserted through the walls of buildings to reinforce them.

Often called “earthquake bolts,” these iron reinforcement rods commonly were incorporated into buildings in Charleston and elsewhere before the great earthquake. Their initial purpose, however, usually was to safeguard against gales and hurricanes rather than to protect from the rending and wrenching of earthquakes.

Owners who objected to seeing unadorned rod ends on the exteriors of their buildings capped them with cast-iron decorations depicting such objects as stars, concentric circles, lion heads, diamonds, s’s, v’s, x’s, and crosses.

And you guessed it, they are a favorite object that I like to capture.
